2017 – a new beginning with the Holy Father, Holy Son and Holy Spirit in completion. Therefore, we all need to begin this year with healthy living. Just a few tips from www.cdc.gov:
Make healthy food choices emphasizing fruits, vegetables, whole grains, fat free or low fat milk and milk products, lean meats, poultry, fish, beans, eggs, and nuts. Low saturated fats, trans fats, cholesterol, salt (sodium) and added sugars.
Protect yourself from injury or disease by wearing or ensuring the use of a helmet if applicable. Practice water safety; wearing sunscreen or insect repellent when necessary. Use seat belts. Practice child safety by using child safety seats and/or booster seats appropriate for the age and weight of the child.
Wash your hands often with soap and water to prevent the spread of infection and illness.
Be active to improve overall health. Start walking and increase your speed and length of time according to your ability.
Get enough sleep. Insufficient sleep is associated with a number of chronic diseases and conditions – such as diabetes, heart and vascular disease, obesity and depression.
I am very much interested in what you would like to see written or presented related to health, so please let me hear from you.
